For the 4th year running, Randolph has been trying to alert Santa to the rising danger posed by the dark reach of the Krampus, but to no avail. Will this new batch of evidence from our antlered host catch the Big Guy’s attention?

The 2022 Krampusnacht Freeky Film Festival will be held at the Savoy 16 + IMAX on Saturday December 3rd at 7pm. This year’s lineup includes 18 short films submitted from around the world bringing a spirit of dark comedy, horror, and all around freekiness to the holiday season.

Submit

For this festival we are seeking:

  • Short films, 20 minutes and under, in the thematic realm of creepy, darkly funny, or macabre.
  • Films are NOT required to relate to Krampus mythology in any way, although we have a special awards category for films that put a “freeky” twist on the holidays — Krampusnacht, Christmas, or otherwise.

About Krampusnacht

The Krampus is the shadow of St. Nicholas, who doles out punishment for naughty children. Krampusnacht falls annually on December 5th, the eve of the feast of St. Nicholas, and is observed throughout Eastern Europe and parts of Germany with parades featuring elaborate costumes and masks
